In this six-week series, you will learn breath techniques to calm your nervous system and yoga postures that can assist in preparing your body to conceive, all the while building community with other women on a similar journey.
This practice will include specific yoga postures that stimulate and balance your reproductive system and enhance the flow of energy and circulation throughout your body. Stress-relieving breath work will assist with both the emotional and physical challenges of trying to conceive. Most importantly, by relieving stress, you will help to create healthy conditions for optimal fertility.
You will benefit from this series if you:
Are trying to conceive naturally
You are preparing for IVF/IUI
Have fertility challenges (PCOS, endometriosis, unexplained infertility etc.)
Feel overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, or powerless because of infertility
While fertility-focused yoga can certainly support efforts to become pregnant, it does not guarantee a successful pregnancy or IVF. We ask that you come to class with an open mind, no expectations, and no attachments.
Serenity Yoga Instructor, Heather Monson, teaches this class. Heather is trained in Mindful Yoga practices for women including stress reduction and PTSD. Heather uses her own experiences with infertility to bring empathy and compassion to her teaching.
